When it first opened its doors in May 1999, Millennium was more a “concept” than a reality. It was established on a foundation of experience and expertise shared by the company’s founders – and their mutual decision to branch out on their own after successful careers with Bombardier Aerospace/ Learjet.
The founders pooled their knowledge and resources and took a risk. Their first contract provided the firm with a launch customer, initial funding and valuable lessons in evaluating the time, effort, and resources necessary to engage a complex project on a Boeing 737-700 VVIP custom interior. Subsequently, Bombardier Aerospace in Montreal, Quebec recommended Millennium to one of its completion centers in England to design, fabricate and certify a complex flight inspection system on a Bombardier Global Express aircraft. Although not a core competency of the organization, the project was certified on time and under budget. The project was such a success that Millennium went on to produce follow-on ship sets of PMA kit parts for additional aircraft.
The Global Express project signified the vast diversity, perseverance, technical competence, and outstanding versatility for which Millennium has become known.
Now approaching its tenth anniversary, Millennium Concepts has experienced an average annual growth of over 40% in gross sales. Reinvestment back into the business is evidenced by the physical growth of facilities and equipment. Today, Millennium owns 2.5 acres of commercially zoned real estate. It owns its own buildings, maintains internal strength and flammability test laboratories, operates its own interior cabinet shop and 21g and 26g seat production shop, in addition to its highly-regarded engineering, certification and research departments. Additionally, Millennium recently procured CNC manufacturing capabilities.
Since its inception in 1999, Millennium Concepts, Inc. has proven itself, solidified its reputation, and continually demonstrated a standard of performance that is second to none.
