Kevin Reifschneider, who serves as Vice President of Engineering and Certification of Millennium Concepts, brings an exceptionally broad technical background to his role. A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Designated Engineering Representative (DER), he provides the company with valuable, on-site direction and guides the interaction between Millennium Concepts and the government regulatory and certification entities. Kevin is a 1994 graduate of Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
In May of 1993, he joined Bombardier Learjet in Wichita as an engineer on the Learjet 60 program. He moved briefly into the company’s training program to prepare and instruct Learjet Design and Manufacturing engineers in Computer-aided Solid Modeling Courses in UNIGRAPHICS, before taking a position as an Interior Engineer on the Learjet Model 45. In 1998, he was recommended by Learjet management to assume the responsibilities of FAA DER Candidate for the interiors of the Learjet product line. As an FAA DER candidate responsible for interior certification plans, testing and compliance findings, he coordinated compliance findings for both FAA and Europe’s Joint Airworthiness Authority (JAA). In 1999, he teamed with three colleagues from Bombardier Learjet to form Millennium Concepts. He made application for and was granted a Consultant FAA DER designation in 1999.
Among his current duties are the management of all of the company’s regulatory compliance and engineering management, including STC, PMA and TSO projects, as well as the oversight of technical engineering and outsourcing. He also directs development of regulatory test plans, work bids, proposals and quotations and coordination with the FAA and foreign regulatory authorities. He serves on the Board of Directors and maintains a central role in the management and direction of the organization.
