Barend van Beek joined Millennium’s management team in 2009. He brings with him extensive experience in structural design and analysis with interiors and seats. He graduated cum laude from Delft University of Technology Department of Aerospace Engineering specializing in structural design. Barend wrote and published “Dynamic Seat Testing and HIC – an aircraft manufacturer’s experience and view on the future” in 1998 and has been increasing his experience ever since. While working in Switzerland, Barend performed certification test witnessing on behalf of the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA). He was instrumental in the design and certification of the Eclipse 500 jet interior and seats as well as the PC-12 interior and seats. Barend’s leadership and knowledge complement the engineering team at Millennium. The experience he gained prior to joining Millennium has proven to be useful as he contributes to our forward thinking success. At Millennium, Barend oversees all aspects of engineering, from drafting and design to analysis and certification.
